January 2014 - Kangiqsualujjuaq, Qc, Canada. The community pool room by a full moon night. The wood stove heats full blast. Outside it is -23 ° C.

Kangiqsualujjuaq is the only village of Ungava, with Kuujjuaq, where there are valleys with some trees. The pool room was installed in an old abandoned house, that men from the village renovated so that young people could have a place to get together without being outside, all night long or in "smoking shacks" behind houses. Overcrowded houses remain problematic as it is not uncommon to see extended family of 10-12 people, and even more, living under the same roof.
